Digital strategy and creative content for leaders and causes.

Hi, I’m Pat.

  • Washington DC → Mexico City

  • Digital content strategist

  • Specialized in mission-driven organizations

  • Passionate about clean energy, sustainable development, and gun violence prevention

Services

  • Advocating policy change? Persuading voters? Launching an initiative? I can help you build and execute an integrated digital campaign strategy that earns attention and drives engagement.

  • Too many blog posts, web pages, and press releases fall flat because they’re focused on an output, not an outcome. I can help with memorable written copy that helps achieve your goals.

  • To be successful, video projects must have clear objectives and target audiences in mind from start to finish. I can help you strategize, plan, script, project manage, and roll out your videos.

  • From an in-depth content strategy that helps you hone your voice, to ad hoc support around a key moment or event crafting authentic and compelling social content is my bread and butter.

  • I’ve been leading remote and hybrid teams for years—even before the pandemic hit. I love working on teams and leading collaborative projects that turn ideas into action.

What are your goals?

  • Build your brand

  • Advocate change

  • Become a thought leader

Recent projects:

Celebrating decades of impact

In the same year, Giffords and Giffords Law celebrated their 10th and 30th anniversaries. I produced special videos to highlight their stories and accomplishments.

Advancing clean hydrogen

Breakthrough Energy wanted to educate policymakers about clean hydrogen. I helped their experts with thought leadership content around this complex clean energy priority.

Not your typical political ads

I produced these bilingual persuasion ads to fight against a deadly bill in Florida pushed by Ron DeSantis. We reached key audiences through digital, radio, and print ads.

Career highlights:

Viral videos that framed a primary

I produced Giffords’ #GunSafetyPresident video series featuring one-on-one interviews with eight top 2020 Democratic presidential candidates.

The videos went viral upon release. Through earned media, influencer promotion, and ads, the series garnered over 16 million views and helped frame gun safety as a key issue in the Democratic primary.

Channeling the voice of a nuclear physicist

As a political appointee at the US Department of Energy, I managed the online voice behind Secretary Ernest Moniz, growing his social media following by 700% and establishing his voice as one of the most respected in President Obama’s Cabinet.

Sec. Moniz was the Iran Deal’s #2 negotiator and its #1 advocate, so my job was to explain both nuclear physics and diplomacy in 140 characters (280 would have made it only slightly easier).

A message lawmakers can’t ignore

During the pandemic, gun violence surged but faded from the headlines so I conceived the idea to install a Gun Violence Memorial on the National Mall. It generated so much earned and social media that we took it on the road to six other cities, urging visitors to contact their legislators and demand action.

It was a true integration of online and offline organizing and a perfect platform for connecting with local communities and new audiences, including Hispanic voters in South Florida.

Protecting the Paris Agreement

Mike Bloomberg, Anne Hidalgo, and Emanuel Macron

After the Trump administration withdrew from the Paris Agreement, Mike Bloomberg rallied cities, states, and businesses to meet our climate goals.

I led the social media and digital ads team behind Mike Bloomberg and Bloomberg Philanthropies, managing more than half a dozen social media channels, optimizing paid campaigns, and communicating by-the-second with the team in New York. Our content was flawless, promoted the client’s objectives, and made news.
